The Coffee Experience
This group project was about re-designing the experience of brewing and drinking coffee.
The original product for the experience was a standard coffee maker, and to gain insight in what improvements this machine needed interviews and UX-curves were made. Theories from Norman and Jordan were also used. UX goals were set for the new experience.
The project resulted in a poster showing the process and a final design of the new coffee experience which meets the requirements that followed from the UX goals. Those are in general to enhance the smell of coffee and make the color seem darker to increase the users’ desire for coffee. It should look nice so the user wants to have it visible. The pot should be easy to pour from and it should be flexible regarding how many cups it can make. Lastly it should contribute to create an attachment and making it easy for the user to participate both in social and individual activities.
